Kosher Dill Pickles with Weston Vacuum Canisters

- Ingredients -
4 pickling cucumbers (whole or sliced, however you prefer)
2 cups water
2 tablespoons kosher salt
2 cups white vinegar
4 cloves garlic
2 bay leaves
6 sprigs thyme
4 heads dill
10 juniper berries
2 allspice berries
1/4 teaspoon yellow mustard seeds

Boil water and salt together, stirring until salt has dissolved. Allow to cool. Pour all ingredients into a Weston Vacuum Sealer Canister. Turn the canister lid to seal and connect to your Weston or Realtree Vacuum Sealer, then press the accessory button. Once sealed, place the canister into your refrigerator.



The very next day you will have delicious pickles. You may continue to seal the canister after each opening and allow the flavors to continue to develop, or simply eat them the next day. The vacuum created in the canisters will draw the vinegar and spices into the cucumbers more fully, making for quick pickles!
