Recipe - Avocado Chips in a Weston Food Dehydrator

  • 4 avocados, halved and pitted (leave skin on)
  • 1/2 lemon
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt


These tangy avocado chips were sliced perfectly with a Weston Mandoline Slicer and dehydrated in a Weston Food Dehydrator for a tasty homemade snack.

  1. Use a Mandoline slicer to slice the avocados.
  2. Juice the lemons to squeeze lemon juice onto the avocado slices.
  3. Remove the peel from the slices and lay them out on your dehydrator racks. Chop your cilantro finely. Sprinkle the avocado slices with cilantro, cayenne, and sea salt.
  4. Dehydrate in a dehydrator for 10 hours at 165 degrees.
